Well, after several years we finally made the fall trip to New England, and a must do stop for us was Woodstock, Vermont. We only spent 24 hours in Woodstock because hotels were limited due to our last minute travel, and the weather wasn’t really on our side. In 24 hours though, we saw and did plenty, and loved every minute of this quintessential New England town.
SLEEPY HOLLOW
If you have done some research than you probably have seen the beautiful images of Sleepy Hollow. This is an iconic stop in Woodstock, and it’s only a 10 minute BEAUTIFUL drive from downtown. I actually teared up seeing it in person, it’s that breathtaking. The address is 3429 Cloudland Road in South Pomfret.

THINGS TO DO IN WOODSTOCK
SUGARBUSH FARMS
We are at the point in the vacation where the kids have spent entirely too much time inside the car, and they need some nature. This was our first stop the next morning, and it was so gorgeous to see the fog lift, and the sun start to sun. Sugarbush Farms is a family friend stop that is a must do! This 3 generation family farm is known for their cheese and maple syrup- and beautiful views everywhere you turn!
After some cheese and maple syrup sampling, we loved walking through the trails to see where they tap the syrup. Make sure to stop in the chapel and finish your trip by visiting all the animals.

DOWNTOWN WOODSTOCK
After Sugarbush Farms, we headed to Downtown Woodstock. We spent the morning wandering around the cute main streets, and popping in and out of stores. Some of are favorite stops were The Vermont Flannel CO., The Middle Covered Bridge, The Yankee Bookshop, and RT Home.
Hungry for a little snack? Stop by South Woodstock Country Store, and then a sweet treat at Mountain Creamery.

WHERE TO EAT IN WOODSTOCK, VERMONT
My first travel post, and I should say this. When we travel we have 3 things we need to find when it comes to the eating and drinking.
1. Good Coffee
2. A family friend brewpub
3. A locals favorite that you probably won’t find via google
MON VERT CAFE– Located right in downtown Woodstock. Great spot for your morning coffee and pastry. The breakfast burrito was so good.
WORTHY KITCHEN– This fulfilled our family friendly spot for great food, and really good beer! I enjoyed the fact that it was counter service because with kids sometimes you just want a good meal, and quick!
CLOUDLAND FARM- Farm to table yummy food where the drive there is part of the experience.

I wished our time in Woodstock was longer, but we decided to leave in a days notice. The hotel selection was very low, and so we stayed outside of Woodstock in White River Junction. Next time I would love to stay right in the downtown area so we can be right in the action.

The Shire Woodstock
And, on your way out of town make sure to stop at Quechee Gorge Bridge for this gorgeous view. Until next time, Woodstock! We will definitely be back to explore you more.
