Winter in Ohio definitely involves a lot of hot cocoa. If my kids are playing outside it’s a guarantee that as soon as they come in, they will be asking where is the hot chocolate. It’s so much fun to try new recipes, new flavors, and of course, as many toppings as well.
I am someone who enjoys things on their kitchen counters, so when I was thinking of a space to place everything, I decided to go with this cabinet we already had. I grabbed some white paint and gave it a makeover it so desperately needed. (and chalk paint is SO easy to use!)
The highlight of this area is 100% the adorable Santa mugs. The collection I have are a mix of thrifted and new. I love searching at antique stores, goodwills, and big box retail. It’s fun to gather them all in the cabinet and start stacking to play with the heights. I then added some garland, bottle brush trees and twinkle lights to give it a whimsical touch.
The adorable snowman cookie jar is perfect for putting all of our marshmallows, and other toppings we enjoy!
