I’m a huge fan of secondhand shopping—whether it’s thrift stores, antique malls, curated vintage shops, garage sales, or estate sales. I can’t get enough of them! I am going to doing several blog posts about secondhand shops all over Cleveland, starting with those closest to me. Be sure to bookmark this page and check back regularly as I add more spots and stores over time.

CLEVELAND EAST SIDE, HEIGHTS AREA
This is my home base area so I am going to start with these stores that I frequent often, and am more familiar with.
THRIFT STORES
- Goodwill University Heights: Typically very clean and less busy than others. While I find the inventory to be less than other stores, a lot of my favorite items have come from this store. I call it my home store because it’s one of the closest to me so it’s one I can frequent often which always helps when thrifting! Home section is good here, clothing is hit or miss for me. Furniture selection is usually packed. Linens is always empty here.
- Goodwill Cleveland, Lee Road: I love this one, and think it’s often overlooked. The merchandise definitely tends to fall on the older side whereas the Goodwill UH I feel like it’s newer merchandise. The shelves here are usually packed, and I love their dishware aisle. They tend to have a good plate/glassware selection. Clothing is usually a miss for me at this location, but they also tend to do 50% off all clothing several times a year.
- Value World, North Randall: I do not like this location, but if you need clothes this place is always packed! I do not like that it’s organized by size though. You need a good amount of time to go through everything. Home section has never been good for me with the exception of the linens. They have a lot here!
- Habitat for Humanity Restore, North Randall: Great prices on everything! I have purchased some smaller furniture items here that I love, but it’s not a must stop for me unless I am in the area.
- Thriftique Showroom, Bedford Heights: I love this store! Very clean, organized! They have a section in the front of the store for nicer clothing items. I also love the home section here, and always find a few great pieces to take home. Highly recommend this stop, but look at the hours!
- Goodwill Mayfield Heights: This is typically a very packed Goodwill, and it’s either hit or miss for me (but isn’t that all thrift stores though?!) They have everything though! Great home decor section. I love the dish aisle, the linens are packed, lots of clothes here, and the art/frame section is one of the larger ones. The only thing this one doesn’t have a lot of is trinkets, and smaller items. I love that the Lee Road Goodwill has an awesome trinket aisle.

ANTIQUE STORES
- Attenson’s Coventry Antiques and Books, Cleveland Heights: I LOVE this store, and it is a must stop! You are first greeted by awesome jewelry cases that are loaded with gorgeous vintage jewelry They have an awesome book selection here, and I have found so many great reads and coffee table books. Great variety of everything, and pretty good prices. Worth a stop!
- Greenwald Antiques, Woodmere/Beachwood: This is a gorgeous store, and these are more high end antiques, a bit out of my budget, but always worth a stop, IMO!
- Heide Rivchun’s Conservation, Larchmere: Great little antique store in Larchmere. They also do furniture repair which seems to be the main focus, but definitely stop in and check out the front of the store.

VINTAGE STORES:
- Eclectic Eccentric, Larchmere: I LOVE this store! It’s in an old store front, and you feel like you got to watch those elbows in there, but it’s so fun! Great mix of items, and the prices here are really great! Also, must stop into Loganberry when you are done!
- Mix Vintage + Estate Goods, Cleveland Heights: This is a new store that I have yet to go to, but I wanted to share it because I love a small business.
- Monarch Boutique, Larchmere: Another new to me store which I will be going to ASAP. Described as vintage clothing and home decor, and if they are in Larchmere, I know it’s going to be good! I found THIS VIDEO about the store and a little tour!
- Reclamation, Shaker Heights: Really awesome curated selection of vintage finds. They have a nice selection of clothes, smaller home items, and awesome music playing.
I hope you find Part One of this series helpful! Come back soon for Part 2 of my favorite places to secondhand shop.
